Claudette Colvin – Custom LEGO Minifigure
Claudette Colvin was one of the pioneers of the 1950s civil rights movement in America. At the age of 15 she was arrested for refusing to give up her seat to a white woman on a segregated bus – this was nine-months before the more infamous stand taken by Rosa Parks.
This figure comes with an optional baseplate with the quote: “I always tell young people to hold on to their dreams.”
Printed onto genuine LEGO parts.
20% of sales of this Minifigure go to Blueprint for all (formerly known as the Stephen Lawrence Charitable Trust).
